A different kind of summer project for Albion saw our team successfully deliver a specialist scheme for Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council at Aberdare Community School during the summer shutdown, involving the installation of a brand-new roof light.
The scope of works included:
Scaffolding to the atrium at 10m high (internal and external)
Careful removal and crane lift of the existing roof light
Preparation of a new level platform for installation
Installation of the new Velux roof light using a tower crane
New internal and external fascia works, plus final touch-up decoration
Thanks to favourable weather conditions and meticulous planning, the high-risk works were completed smoothly and on time, with the area fully cleaned down and ready for pupils returning for the new school year.
